Apply To Fly

Veteran Application

The mission of North Bay Honor Flight is to transport veterans to Washington, D.C. (with priority given first to veterans from WWII era, then to Korean War and Vietnam War eras)
to see their memorial free of charge. We encourage all veterans to apply, even if you are facing an illness or other challenge. Veterans from completed flights describe the Tour of Honor as moving, the best day of their lives, affecting, emotional, healing. Participation in an Honor Trip gives you, the veteran, the opportunity to share this momentous event with your military peers, to remember the fallen, and to share your stories and experiences with other veterans in a safe space, filled with gratitude and respect for your sacrifice and service.

To apply, fill in the application below and hit SUBMIT FORM. When you hit SUBMIT, your application receives a time stamp and is placed in a queue. Please do not apply more than one time as that will set your application back to the latest application date and skew the queue (you don’t want to skew the queue). Based on the date applied, Veterans are notified of their opportunity to fly via the contact information entered on their application. We are currently working our way through a backlog of applications from our sister chapters as well as some new ones from Veterans who applied to North Bay Honor Flight in 2024. You may email the Mission CO, Nicole McAdams, at [hidden]  to check on your place in the queue at any time.

Through two additional programs, Honor Flight Network extends its reach and furthers its impact:

The Honor Flight Lone Eagle program serves veterans who live in areas with no local chapter
The Honor Flight TLC program honors veterans of any service era who are critically ill

If you know anyone who is in either of these categories, reach out and we will connect you with the appropriate contacts.
